Ingredients
  

For the Filling:

  • 4 ripe pears peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tbsp dark rum

For the Crumble Topping:

  • ½ cup rolled oats gluten-free if needed
  • ½ cup shredded coconut unsweetened
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil solid
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp salt

For Garnish:

  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Coconut cream optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Pear Filling

  • In a skillet, melt coconut oil over medium heat.
  • Add sliced pears, coconut sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until pears are soft and slightly caramelized.
  • Optional: Stir in 1 tbsp dark rum and let it cook for 1 minute to evaporate alcohol.

Step 2: Make the Crumble

  • In a bowl, combine oats, shredded coconut, salt, maple syrup, and solid coconut oil.
  • Mix until crumbly.

Step 3: Assemble & Bake

  • Transfer caramelized pears to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle crumble mixture evenly on top.
  • Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 20–25 minutes, until golden and crispy.

Step 4: Serve

  • Cool slightly.
  • Garnish with dark chocolate shavings and optional coconut cream.
