Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 rooibos tea bags
  • 2 cups fresh watermelon juice
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp honey or to taste optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh watermelon slices and lime wedges for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the rooibos tea bags. Allow to steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  • Once cooled, stir in the fresh watermelon juice and lime juice. Add honey if desired, mixing well until fully dissolved.
  • Refrigerate the mixture until it is thoroughly chilled, about 1-2 hours.
  • Serve the iced tea over ice cubes in glasses. Garnish each glass with a slice of watermelon and a wedge of lime.

  • For the freshest flavor, use watermelon that is ripe and juicy.
