Ingredients

  • 1 –2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup 90 g rolled oats
  • ¼ cup 45 g dark vegan chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil or vegan butter melted
  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar
  • Pinch of salt

For the Vanilla Syrup

  • ¼ cup 60 ml plant-based milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional Topping
  • Toasted nuts pecans, walnuts, or almonds or toasted coconut flakes

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, toss pear slices with maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  • Spread the pears evenly in a baking dish.

Step 2: Make the Crumble Topping

  • In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, dark chocolate chips, coconut sugar, melted coconut oil, and a pinch of salt until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle evenly over the pear filling.

Step 3: Bake

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the pears are tender and the crumble is golden and slightly crisp.

Step 4: Prepare the Vanilla Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, heat plant-based milk, maple syrup, and vanilla over low heat until warm and slightly thickened.

Step 5: Assemble & Serve

  • Drizzle vanilla syrup over the warm crisp.
  • Sprinkle with toasted nuts or coconut flakes for extra crunch and visual appeal.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and warmth.
