1cupcold milkuse dairy or plant-based milk of your choice

1-2shots of espressoor 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee

Instructions
Prepare the Vanilla Syrup (if making at home): In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool. Store any extra syrup in a jar in the refrigerator.
Layer the Vanilla Syrup and Milk: Pour 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup into the bottom of a tall glass.
Add 1 cup of cold milk over the syrup.
Add Ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes, leaving some space at the top for the espresso.
